Shape Up Your Skin for the Holidays

With the mercury dipping into the lower digits, day planners filling up at breakneck speed and seemingly fewer hours left in the day, the “most wonderful time of the year” can easily drain the mind and body (not to mention bank account). But what about your skin? While the scorching summer sun may seem like a distant memory, the dry, icy winter weather can be just as unforgiving. Well, fear not. Pür Minerals has the solution to your skin’s holiday blues.

Sleep Better
Rather than recite a statistical litany lauding the benefits of the eight-hour nap, let’s keep this centered on skin, and specifically how to make that shrinking window of shut-eye work for you. Fight the Fray: Hair Care Tips

  Whether from too many color treatments, too much curling or too long without a cut, split ends are a hair’s frazzled cry for help. While a trim may be the only true solution, Pür Minerals has tips and tricks to tame those wayward tresses before your next trip to the salon.

Comb Territory

If you comb your hair while it’s still wet, stroke gently with a wide-tooth comb. Now would also be a good time to work in a good leave-in conditioner or an alcohol-free styling spritz. For dry hair, use a soft bristle brush, again stroking gently. Never tug or pull at hair as this can aggravate splits.

Quick Fix

Using a blow dryer and a soft bristle round or paddle brush, thoroughly dry hair, including split ends. Try to brush ends as straight as possible while blow drying to limit fly-aways. Once dry, apply a hydrating balm like

Much more than just an aromatic enhancement, essential oils play a pivotal role in modern skin care. How did you find out about Pür Minerals?
I saw Joli on one of the shopping channels a few years ago and was intrigued. I loved her energy and her conviction in her product. I happened to notice that ULTA also sells Pür Minerals so I gave it a try.

What is your favorite Pür Minerals products and why?
I love the 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup—great coverage without feeling like I have anything on my face. It does not itch or cause breakouts, and I think my skin looks better after using this product. I also love the convenience of the pressed vs. the loose powder that goes everywhere and is easily spilled. The Pressed Mineral Eye Shadows are terrific. They’re pigment rich and glide on easily. You can go light or dark depending on the look you are after. The Mineral Eye Defining Pencils are also long-lasting and easy to apply, and the 3-in-1 Universal Pencil is great for a liner and a brow pencil.

What do you see as the chief benefits of Pür Minerals Products?
Convenience, good for my skin, and it just makes me look better! I have tried just a couple of the skin care products (See No More and Mineral Mudd Masque) and I really like what they have done for my skin as well. I also like wearing it. I am not in a hurry to rush home and wash my face—it just feels good.

How do Pür Minerals products differ from other makeup and skin care brands that you have used in the past?
