The Pür-fect Home Pedicure

Few things are as delightfully indulgent as a pedicure. Yet with all the hustle and bustle in the work week, finding the time for a professional treatment is next to impossible. Fortunately, with a few simple tips and tricks, you can pamper your pieds at home with ease. So kick back and get ready to treat your toes to a taste of the good life.

What You Will Need:

• A basin or tub
• Epsom salt
• Emery board
• Orange stick (cuticle stick)
• Nail clipper
• Pür Polish
• Pür Balm
• Pür Body Butter

Soak and Soften
First, fill a basin (or your bath tub) with warm water, adding ½ cup of Epsom salt (available at most supermarkets and drug stores). Soak your feet for 10-15 minutes then pat dry. In addition to softening the skin, Epsom salt helps relieve tension and draw out toxins.

Polish to Perfection
Massage Pür Polish into feet to gently buff away calluses and dead skin. Focus on the heels and the balls of the feet then rinse clean and pat dry. Use an emery board on especially rough patches.

Condition Your Cuticles
Apply Pür Balm to toenails to soften and hydrate. Then, using an orange stick, gently push back cuticles. Do not force or cut cuticles as this can cause injury and invite infection.

Healthy Hydration
Using a generous amount, massage Pür Body Butter into feet and around toes. Applying a body moisturizer post-soak and polish, helps lock in moisture and keep dry skin from returning.

Trim and File
Trim toenails with a nail clipper, cutting straight across. Never cut at an angle or round off as this can foster ingrown nails. Smooth edges and points with an emery board.

Bring On the Color
For those who wish to add a splash of color, start with a thin base coat of polish and air dry. (Never use a hairdryer to dry nails. The intense heat not only dries polish unevenly but will dry out the very skin you just finished pampering.) After polish has dried, apply the nail color of your choice. Finish with a clear top coat of polish after the color had set.
