We love it when we see members of the Pür family succeed. So when we heard that Annie Gunther, our youngest model, won the title of Teen Miss North Georgia State Fair 2012, we were thrilled. Annie, whose work can be seen throughout our website as well as in Dillard’s and ULTA stores, helped bring beauty—pür and simple to a whole new generation. In addition to modeling, Annie also interned with us over the summer, trading her natural creativity for invaluable insight into the beauty industry.

With her state fair win, Annie secured her bid for Miss Georgia Teen. The most prestigious title in the state, the competition brings together Georgia’s leading teen pageant contenders. From everyone on the Pür Minerals team, our hopes are with you, Annie. Good luck!

Recipe for the Perfect Pedi

Ingredients
½ cup applesauce
1 tsp. honey
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. sea salt
½ lemon
(Flowers optional)

Directions
Mix vinegar, honey and applesauce in a bowl. Squeeze lemon half and stir in the juice. Add salt and baking soda and blend well. Apply mixture to clean feet, and massage to exfoliate. Leave on for 3 – 4 minutes then rinse with warm water.

Emmy’s Best and Worst Dressed

Last night the 63th Primetime Emmy Awards recognized the finest in television programming. And while host Jane Lynch’s musical intro left us positively enthralled (who doesn’t have a soft spot for Glee’s curmudgeonly Sue Sylvester?), the view from the red carpet left us a little…well…puzzled. For starters, we were pleasantly surprised to see how many stars traded their LBDs for LRDs (Little Red Dresses). But colors aside, nothing prepared us for the more provocative and outlandish outfits in store. Here’s a look at the night’s fashion highs and lows.

Best Dressed
First, the good news. Of the Little Red Dress crowd, The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev takes the crown in her stunning, scarlet Donna Karan number. Simple yet sophisticated, her hip-hugging gown tapered to a train of layered ruffles that was confidently glamorous without being pretentious. Right at her heels was the voluptuous Modern Family star, Sofia Vergara, whose form-fitting Vera Wang dress left us speechless.

Worst Dressed
Where to start? The Good Wife star Julianna Marguiles might have made it to our Best Dressed list if it weren’t for the bizarrely bedazzled bodice (try saying that five times fast) of her otherwise elegant strapless Armani gown. But Marguiles fashion folly pales in comparison to Paz De La Huerta’s red carpet fiasco. From her rip-torn, too-revealing pink Versace dress to her birdnest hair and goth girl makeup, the Boardwalk Empire star stole the scene—but for all the wrong reasons.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Recap

Today marks the final day of the Spring 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and has it been an exciting run! From our spot in the Eva Minge runway show, we caught a first-hand glimpse at what Poland’s leading luxury designer has in store for next year. From crisp graphic prints to ultra modern zippers and TONS of black- and navy-on-cream striping, the nautical theme reigned supreme. In addition to Minge’s ready-to-wear line, the show also unveiled her all-new Eva Minge and ESOTIQ outerwear brand. (You can watch a clip of the new lingerie and swimwear collection here.)

Working behind the scenes was Pür Minerals celebrity makeup artist, Jackie Gomez (seen here posing with Minge at the show). Gomez—who’s worked with such A-listers as Marissa Miller, Kerry Washington and Beyoncé Knowles—brought her red carpet style to runway, pairing Minge’s ultrachic outfits with equally sophisticated Pür looks. We can’t get enough of her picture pür-fect style!

Saturday, Pür Minerals took to the stage at Eva Minge’s 2012 Spring/Summer Runway Show as part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Poland’s foremost couture designer, Minge (pronounced “Ming-uh”) revealed her edgy new line to a full house in Manhattan’s fashionable Good Units gallery. Working with runway models behind the scenes, celebrity makeup artist Jackie Gomez helped bring Minge's ultrachic vision to life with spotlight-ready Pür looks.

Pür Hits Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

September’s been a busy month for Pür Minerals. Just last night, we rocked Fashion’s Night Out in Midtown Atlanta, giving VIP makeovers and bringing Pür beauty to the catwalk. Tomorrow, we’re jetting off to NYC for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, where celebrity makeup artist Jackie Gomez will light up the Eva Minge runway show with the season’s hottest Pür looks.

One of Poland’s most renowned designers, Eva Minge is a fashion icon whose haute couture looks have captivated audiences from Paris to Rome. With such A-list clients as Kelly Rowland, LaToya Jackson and former Polish First Lady Jolanta Kwaśniewska, Minge has cemented her place among fashion’s elite. Tomorrow, she will unveil her latest vision for the up-and-coming season at the Good Units studio space in Manhattan.

Working behind the scenes is Pür Minerals resident makeup artist Jackie Gomez. Gomez, who has worked with such celebrities as Zoe Saldana, Kerry Washington and Beyoncé Knowles, will be lending her red carpet touch to the trendsetting event, creating fashion forward looks from her Pür Minerals beauty arsenal. We can’t wait to see what she reveals!
